Start the countdown to Christmas! Sewing these perennial advent calendars is a lovely project and they are suitable for the young and young-at-heart. Advents marked * have coordinating fabrics for backing and binding.
2024 update: please note that Makower are not reprinting any of the popular designs shown here. 6 new Advent and 2 new Stocking designs from Makower, Nutex and Dashwood are due in June/July, but if you want one of the current designs shown here, buy it now as once it’s gone, it’s gone!
All the advents are priced per panel. The sewing together by hand or machine is simple (instructions are on each panel). With the ‘super easy” calendars, you simply fold up the pockets and stitch into place! If ordering another fabric for the backing and binding/sleeve, add 1 metre (4 units) of fabric to your basket. Plus, if you’d like a coordinating thread, just choose your size and we’ll do the rest. Top tip! - it’s a good idea to match the thread to your backing/binding fabric, whether a Christmas print or solid.
If you’re looking for stockings - the panels can make a stocking with printed designs on both sides, or if you use another fabric on the reverse, sew double the quantity. If unsure on quantities, just give us a call on 01634 838880.
Plus: we also have a ‘finishing pack’. This pack contains enough Thermolam wadding and solid fabric to complete one advent calendar. We’ll a select the best colour solid to coordinate with your calendar panel.
