When you’re sewing a quilt to last for generations, you need to use a quality thread. Gutermann 100% cotton threads are manufactured in Europe and are available online in over 200 colours in the 100m size. As the widest choice of colours are available in the 100m size, it’s best to choose this size spool for the closest colour match. (250 and 400m spools are available in approximately 30 colours). Your sewing machine will also thank you as Gutermann threads do not produce excessive lint. This means that your machine remains fluff-free for longer, ensuring smooth sewing.

If you’d prefer to sew with 100% recycled polyester Sew-All thread, this is available in a 100m size spool and about 40 colours. Sew-all thread is a good choice for dressmakers when you may be using a variety of different types of fabric.
