Not all ginghams are the same! Gingham is a yarn dyed fabric, where the warp and weft threads create the classic woven check pattern. As many ginghams are poly-cotton, they’re not as good for quiltmaking or dressmaking. This lovely gingham is 100% cotton and comes in a wider width, so it’s ideal for quilt backings and tablecloths. This year we have 4 new colours for you.

So whether you want to rustle up a summer dress, or sew a lovely set of PJs, get your gingham groove on here. There are two sizes of a check - a bold 17mm check and a smaller 9mm check. Instore, we also sell Sevenberry cotton ginghams in softer colours.

Gingham is priced and sold by the 1/4m (equivalent price per metre is £10.00). Longer lengths are measured and cut as a continuous length. So for 1 metre, add 4 to your basket, for 2 metres, add 8 and so on.
