Yes, it’s possible to make a stunning 30cm rolled edge lampshade from start to finish in this bite-size workshop …. when you know how! This is the most popular size of lampshade we sell and your finished drum shade is suitable for use as a pendant light or table / floor lamp and has a universal fitting. The results look very professional and will be unique to your home. No sewing involved.

The course fee includes all the lampshade equipment that you’ll need, plus your choice of modern, retro, traditional or novelty fabric (which you choose at the workshop). If you have a sharp pair of fabric scissors or rotary cutter, please bring them (but don’t worry - we have plenty of spares that you can borrow). We’ve seen other workshops charging £60 for a similar course, and not including the fabric!

Once you’ve learnt the lampshade making technique, you can buy further kits in 3 different sizes at Hometown, so you can transform lights throughout your home.

This course makes a great present for a partner or crafty friend - make sure you book yourself a place too!
