Whitstable, our well-priced PU coated polyester (weight 226gsm) is just the thing for making awnings, outdoor cushions, windbreaks and beach bags. Our new colour for 2026 is duck egg, which would pair beautifully with grey, natural or white garden furniture. Whitstable is wide-width (150cm/60in) and water repellent (not waterproof).

The PU coating ensures that colours stay bright, so it’s ideal for easy-to-make garden bunting. Simply add herringbone tape to sew your triangles together. Whitstable can easily be sewn using a size 90/100 Jeans machine needle.

We also sell Gutermann outdoor thread on 400m spools, perfect for stitching Whitstable.

All these fabrics are priced and sold by the QUARTER METRE (25cm). So, for 1 metre, add a quantity of 4 to your basket; for 2 metres, add 8 and so on.
