We love sashiko stitching! This is a traditional form of stitching from Japan, sewn with a thicker thread and larger stitches, to create simple or complex geometric patterns. The stitching is intended to contrast against the fabric. Traditionally it’s white stitching on a dark indigo blue, but you can do as you wish, just remember to have a good contrast. Our Perle threads (size 8) are an ideal thread for sashiko.
