Double the gauze = treble the pleasure and now a lower price for 2026! Double Gauze is a light weight (126 gsm) pure cotton fabric. Relatively loosely woven, featuring a slight natural texture, it’s a breathable fabric with a soft handle, is wider width and ideal for summer clothing. Because of the hot weather we’re squeezing in a couple of extra colours with our reorders!

Double Gauze can be used for dressmaking (lovely for tiered dresses, scarves, light weight tops, oh-so comfy summer wide leg trousers, or beach cover ups) and of course for baby muslins and for lightweight baby quilts. We’ve several patterns instore suitable for sewing double gauze. My simple double gauze shift dress is my go-to on summer days as it washes and dries fast, plus there’s no need to iron!

Our double gauze is priced and sold by the quarter metre (the equivalent price is £8/m). To purchase 1 metre, simply add a quantity of 4 to your basket; for 1.5 metres, add 6; 3 metres, add 12 and so on.
