Not all ginghams are the same! Gingham is a yarn dyed fabric, where the warp and weft threads create the classic woven check pattern. Most ginghams are poly-cotton, so not (IMO!) as good for quiltmaking or dressmaking. This lovely gingham is 100% cotton and comes in a range of subtle colours combined with cream, so there are no flashbacks to school uniform! The 1/8-in check means pattern matching for dressmaking is a breeze, plus it has a fine weave and a lovely drape.

All these fabrics are priced and sold by the 1/4m (equivalent price per metre is £13.00). Longer lengths are measured and cut as a continuous length. So for 1 metre, add 4 to your basket, for 2 metres, add 8 and so on. We’ll automatically cut a long quarter (25x112cm), but if you’d prefer a fat quarter (50x50cm), just mark the box when ordering.
