Crawford is a yarn dyed fabric, where the warp and weft threads create the classic woven gingham check pattern. Most ginghams are poly-cotton, so not as good for quiltmaking or dressmaking. Crawford is 100% cotton. We also sell traditional cotton ginghams in a larger scale check.

Crawford is priced and sold by the 1/4m (equivalent price per metre is £13.00). Longer lengths are measured and cut as a continuous length. So for 1 metre, add 4 to your basket, for 2 metres, add 8 and so on. We’ll automatically cut a long quarter (25x112cm), but if you’d prefer a fat quarter (50x50cm), just mark the box when ordering.

Note: because of supply issues, Crawford colours and stock will be limited until spring 2026.
