Need a quilt backing? If you’re looking for a simple solution for a large quilt, here are some wide-width cottons, which weigh in at a mighty 108-in (or in new money, that’s 274cm wide).

We cut and price our wide width fabrics in quarter metres (the equivalent price is from £18/m). To help put that into perspective, that’s an equivalent of £7.35 if it was a standard width cloth - very good value. Larger quantities are always cut as a continuous length, so for 1 metre, add 4 to your basket; for 1.5 metres, add 6; for 2 metres, add 8 and so on.

Tip - if you need to convert your imperial quilt measurements into metric, simply multiply by 2.54. For example, a quilt measuring 84 x 96-in = 213 x 243cm, so you’d need to order 2.25m, (5 units), costing £21.25. If in doubt, call us on 01634 838880 and we’re happy to help with your maths!
