Not all ginghams are the same! Gingham is a yarn dyed fabric, where the warp and weft threads create the classic woven check pattern. Most ginghams are poly-cotton, so not (IMO!) suitable for quiltmaking. This lovely gingham is 100% cotton and as a bonus is extra wide, so is great for quilt backings for quilts up to 134cm / 52-in wide without having to join lengths. 4 colours have a tiny 1/8-in check and 6 colours a standard 1/4-in check. Also suitable for dressmaking as it has a lovely drape.

Longer lengths are measured and cut as a continuous length. So for 1 metre, add 4 to your basket, for 2 metres, add 8 and so on.
